JOSEPH & ELIZABETH QUANSAH (JEQ) FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION IS NOW OPEN.
Carefully review all requirements below before initiating your application package.
General Requirements & Information for All Applicants:
The JEQ Foundation Scholarship is a NEED-BASED support program for outstanding students pursuing higher education in Ghana.
For Students in a College or University in Ghana:
Only apply if you are currently attending either a college or university in Ghana.
Scholarship Requirements:
Reading and understanding of the instructions are part of the evaluation process.
Scholarships are for only college and undergraduate students in Ghana. Online and sandwich students are excluded.
Academic Criteria:
A student who has already enrolled in a college and or university in Ghana with at least a CGPA of 3.3 and or a student about to enroll in college/university with WAEC scores of at least 4As and 4Bs.
College/University Academic documents:
Submit:
- An admission letter
- College/university transcript
- Tuition sheet and housing/hostel fee on an official college/university letterhead for authenticity.
Personal essay:
300-500 words, typed and submitted in a PDF format
Personal picture in a JPEG format
Recommendation:
Send Three (3) recommenders' names and their active emails. The recommenders must comprise of:
1. Two (2) of your current professors/lecturers from your college/university and
2. One from a non-family member or a high school teacher
Need-based criteria:
A student whose parents combined monthly income is less than 600ghc ($80) and a student with single parent making a monthly income of less than 400ghc ($50) in Ghana meet this criterion.
Please indicate whether you have any scholarships or are receiving loans/financial support from other organizations or individuals.
Parent(s)/guardian(s) Information:
Submit parent(s) and or guardian(s) financial information such as SSNIT, bank account and or pension document if applicable, and pictures for traders and farmers etc.
All required materials must be submitted together with the application form to quansahfoundation@gmail.com. Failure to submit a complete application package will lead to the rejection of the applicant's application.
Finalists will be contacted on October 30, 2026 for the next step of the application process.

Senior High School (SHS) Applicants:
Requirements for Senior High School (SHS) Applicants:
Apply only if you fulfill all these criteria:
- Applicant must have graduated from Senior High School (SHS) in Ghana with at least 4As and 4Bs from the WAEC examination.
Submit the following additional documents from your admitted college or university:
- Housing/hostel/residential fees must be on official letterhead or an invoice.
- Official high school transcript and WAEC scores.
- Official tuition sheet.
- Awards and other accomplishments (If applicable).
Recommendations:
Submit three (3) recommenders' names and their active email addresses. The recommenders must comprise of:
1. Two (2) of your current professors/lecturers from your college/university or high school teachers
2. One (1) from a non-family member (Family members excluded).
Need-based criteria:
A student whose parents combined monthly income is less than 600ghc ($50) or a student with a single parent making a monthly income of less than 400ghc ($32) in Ghana meet this criterion.
Parent(s)/Guardian(s) Information:
Submit parent(s) and or guardian(s) financial information such as SSNIT, bank account, pension document, or pictures of traders/farmers in their trade with monthly income.
Orphan(s):
If you are an orphan, send a death certificate/funeral program and relative/guardian documents. All documents must be submitted in PDF format.
Final Note:

- Submission deadline is September 29, 2026.
